I love these Pentel brush pens. I guess I’m late to the game in trying these, but they allow me to sketch with ink on the go and they mimic my typical Windsor and Newton Series 7 pretty well. I have been sketching a lot more lately because I don’t have to worry about getting ink out and cleaning my brush. These recent doodles are just pen to paper, and it’s lots o’ fun. The only drawback to the one I have is that it’s water based. I need to pick up this one with waterproof ink. Hopefully the line quality is as good.

I drew this on the back of some tray paper today while consuming some fine food at Wendy’s. I asked my son what he wanted me to draw and he said “a monster that looks gooey, with one eye, and sharp teeth”. The is what I came up with in a few minutes. He was pleased.
